Last week, one of the most prestigious and demanding events in the international no-gi Brazilian jiu-jitsu circuit took place in Lido di Ostia (Italy): the European IBJJF Jiu-Jitsu No-Gi Championship 2025. Considered, alongside the World Championship, as one of the toughest tournaments on the calendar, it brought together more than 7,000 competitors from all over the world.
In this edition, MegaSport was proudly represented by two of our most outstanding athletes: José “Sito” Martínez and María Teresa Ruiz Miró, who once again demonstrated their excellent skill and dedication on the mats. Both delivered an exceptional performance, advancing through several rounds and reaching the podium in their respective divisions — an achievement that reflects their daily effort, consistent training, and the high technical level that defines our athletes.
As Sito Martínez mentioned after the championship:
“The European No-Gi, along with the Worlds, is the most challenging event on the circuit. Thousands of competitors take part, and every match demands your best. We are very happy with the results achieved.”
